Cat sitting in Dubai: your questions, answered
What is in-home cat sitting?
In-home cat sitting means a sitter comes to your home to look after your cat there. Your cat stays in its own space, on its own routine, while you are away. Furry Affairs provides this in Dubai.
How much does a cat sitter cost in Dubai?
At Furry Affairs, a meet and greet is from AED 50 and a 40-minute visit is from AED 85. Prices are per visit, for one cat. If you have more than one cat, the price is agreed at the meet and greet.
What happens at a meet and greet?
The Furry Affairs Team visits your home before your first booking. They meet your cat, and you go through the routine, the food and litter, and any special requests. The key handover and the written vet authorisation are agreed at the same time. A meet and greet is from AED 50.
What does a visit include?
Every visit includes food and fresh water, litter, play and company, with photos and video sent while the team is still in your home.
How will I get updates while I am away?
The team sends photos and video during every visit, while they are still in your home. You do not need to ask for them. Updates come to your phone on WhatsApp.
How are my keys handled?
Every key is labelled without your address and logged when it changes hands. It is held or returned under the protocol you agree at the meet and greet.
What happens if my cat needs a vet while I am away?
Before the first visit you agree a written vet authorisation and a spend cap with Furry Affairs. If your cat becomes unwell, the team can act straight away within that agreement, instead of waiting for a reply you may not be able to send from a flight.
Do you board cats?
No. Furry Affairs does not board cats. Every visit takes place in the cat’s own home.
Which areas of Dubai do you cover?
Furry Affairs covers the apartment districts of Dubai, including Meydan, Sobha Hartland, Business Bay, Downtown Dubai, Dubai Creek Harbour, Al Jaddaf, Culture Village, Dubai Hills, Arjan, DIFC, City Walk, Jumeirah Village Circle, Jumeirah Village Triangle, Dubai Sports City, Motor City, Al Barsha, Dubai Silicon Oasis, Barsha Heights, The Greens, The Views, Dubai Marina, JBR, Jumeirah Lakes Towers, Palm Jumeirah, Discovery Gardens and The Gardens. If your area is not listed, message the Furry Affairs Team on WhatsApp and they will tell you whether they can visit.
Can you give my cat medication?
Medication given on schedule is available on request. Message the Furry Affairs Team on WhatsApp with the details and your cat’s routine, and they will quote.
When is Furry Affairs open?
Furry Affairs is open from 08:00 to 20:00, every day of the week. Message the team on WhatsApp to arrange a visit time that suits your cat’s routine.
How do I book a cat sitter in Dubai?
Message the Furry Affairs Team on WhatsApp on +971 58 818 8301, or send an enquiry on the website. The first step is a meet and greet, from AED 50.
